Rev. Séamus P. Finn OMI
Rev. Séamus P. Finn OMI has been Director of the Justice/Peace and Integrity of Creation Ministry, Missionary Oblates of Mary Immaculate since 1986. He also serves as interim director for the JPIC program of the General Administration of the Oblates in Rome and represents the congregation on a number of boards and committees.
The Justice/Peace and Integrity of Creation Ministry supports the mission of the congregation that has members in more than 65 countries by representing their interests in the policy debates at international public sector institutions that are based in the United States and with the U.S government.
The office is also responsible for the Faith Consistent/Socially Responsible Investment program of the congregation which engages corporations on various human rights, sustainability and JPIC issues. The program is grounded in Catholic Social Teaching on active solidarity with the work of Oblate missionaries throughout the world.
Fr. Finn has represented the Oblates at the Interfaith Center on Corporate Responsibility in New York since 1986 and he is on the executive committee of the International Interfaith Investment Group. He strongly believes that faith communities and can make a positive contribution to the search for innovative policy alternatives that allow the poor and marginalized to access the benefits of capital and trade.
