October 16
We will break the 40-day Cancel Debt Fast to end global poverty with a Prayer Breakfast on Capitol Hill at 8 am on Tuesday, October 16, led by religious and political leaders including:

* Rev. David Duncombe, retired Minister, initiator, Cancel Debt Fast
* Representatives Spencer Bachus (R-AL), Donald Payne (D-NJ), Maxine Waters (D-CA), and Emmanuel Cleaver (D-MO)
* Right Reverend James Curry, Episcopal Bishop Suffragan of Connecticut;
* Dr. Stephen M. Colecchi, Director, Office of International Justice and Peace,U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops
* the Rt. Rev. Jean Zache Duracin, Episcopal Bishop of Haiti;
* Ruth Messinger, President of the American Jewish World Service;
* Jim McDonald, Vice President, Bread for the World
* German Theologian Ulrich Duchrow;
* Rabbi Michael Lerner, Tikkun
* Hilary O. Shelton, Director, Washington Bureau, NAACP
Moderated by Rev. Bernice Powell Jackson, North American President of the World Council of Churches. The prayer breakfast will be followed by a day of education sessions on debt and global poverty and lobby training. Participants will have an opportunity at this time to meet with supporters from their state to plan their lobbying meeting on Wednesday.
October 17
The Jubilee USA National Lobby Day for debt cancellation will be held October 17 in Washington, DC. We ask that participants set up meetings with their Senators and Representative on this day to express their support for the Jubilee Act. Jubilee USA can provide assistance in scheduling these meetings upon request.
October 18
From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Jubilee USA will hold its annual Network Council Meeting. This is the annual meeting of the member organizations of Jubilee USA Network. Official local Jubilee chapters and Jubilee member organizations are required to attend; others are welcome to observe the meeting, space permitting. The meeting will include speakers, planning, and business matters.
A special reception from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. will end the Lobby Days, bringing Congressional supporters, U.S. grassroots supporters and international debt campaigners together in a celebration of both Global White Band Day, an international day of action to eradicate global poverty, and the 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Jubilee USA Network.
