2007 Cancel Debt Fast Scholarship Application

We're excited that you plan to join us in Washington, D.C. from October

16 and 17 for the breaking of the 40-day Cancel Debt Fast and National

Training & Lobby Day!

Scholarship requests will be considered on a rolling basis. The earlier we

get your request, the more likely it is that we can help you. Once the

scholarship money is gone, it’s gone. So please apply today! It is to your

advantage to get your request in as soon as possible. At this time we are

unable to accommodate scholarship requests from applicants living abroad.

Please be sure to request a specific amount of financial assistance

(Question 5 below). If your request does not include a specific dollar

amount, we cannot consider it.

PLEASE NOTE: This is a needs-based scholarship for assistance with travel

and housing to attend the Breaking of the Fast and Jubilee National Lobby Day

in Washington, DC.

We only have a limited amount of funding available and urge you to raise

money locally to cover some of your travel and housing costs. Scholarship recipients

are expected to take advantage of free housing options and home stays arranged

by Jubilee USA. Scholarships are not available to those electing to stay in

a hotel.

If you are applying for assistance with airfare, you must request a

specific amount of money based on ticket prices. Our funds are limited,

so please consider requesting partial reimbursement for your

travel expenses. If awarded a scholarship, you will need to purchase your

ticket immediately with your own finances and Jubilee will mail a check to

eimburse you. Special circumstances will be dealt with on a case by case

basis. Airfares will go up as the travel date gets closer, so please don’t

wait to book your plane ticket!
