By John Goldingay, a David Allan Hubbard Professor of Old Testament at Fuller Theological Seminary, Pasadena, California. He is an Episcopalian priest and moved to Fuller from St John's Theological College, Nottingham, England in 1997. Goldingay became interested in Jubilee 2000 as it was gaining momentum in England at the end of his time there, while part of the paper arose from a symposium on Islamic (interest-free) banking in Pasadena.
