Transparency and accountability ensure that loan money is used to invest in communities that need that investment and that the public has a voice in how its government spends public dollars. What happens in Mozambique could set important precedents for how debt is audited and how governments are held accountable when it comes to spending borrowed funds. We pray that vulnerable communities are not affected by the sins of its government and creditors."
