Cuomo making quick trip to Puerto Rico

Puerto Rico’s governor extended a Sunday deadline for a group of government officials to deliver a draft of a restructuring plan that is widely anticipated by investors.

Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo said Monday he will travel to Puerto Rico next week to show solidarity with the island during its economic crisis.

Cuomo and several top New York Democrats, including Attorney General Eric Schneiderman and Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, will make the trip, leaving on the afternoon of September 7 and returning the next evening.
