Two hurricanes of the highest category, Eta and Iota, struck Central American countries within less than 15 days. Already facing deep recessions as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, some of these countries are among the poorest in Latin America and suffer of natural, economic and social vulnerabilities. Jubilee USA and global partners lead calls for a debt moratorium and restructuring to help the affected countries and communities rebuild, protect health and livelihoods and emerge from this crisis with more resilience.
